You've got us dealing with a crazy, injured vampire girl, Kiara informed Eilir as they walked off slowly. Who doesn't even know how to dress properly. If I get seen with this blonde wretch then my boss is going to be quite displeased. Though it was difficult for Kiara to actually consider that man her boss since the job was only something that she did as a cover. A very useful cover that did not need to be blown because she was out playing charity case to a crazy vampire. What the hell, she was not even a charitable person by nature. She was going to blame it all on the be-damned butterfly. What kind of creature enjoyed fluttering her wings in blood and yet insisted on helping this Élise girl? Clearly there were a few wires crossed up in the little creature's mind.
"That's lovely, sweetheart," Kiara said with a nod, not even listening to what it was that Élise was saying. Instead she was making sure that they were alone as they neared the park, eyes darting around to find - oh there. Perfect. A middle-aged man who did not look like he was the sort to hit the gym often. 'She needs help, we're helping her, stop whining about it and get to it. I promised to leave you alone if you did.' It was pretty much that promise and nothing else that caused Kiara to slip up behind the man, tap him on the shoulder and sing a little melody that soon had his eyes glazed as he stared at Kiara with an open mouth. Patting him on the cheek the siren turned towards Élise and made a motion as though she were offering a meal. Which really she was.
"Have a bite." Maybe now she would stop rattling off that nonsense story.
