Garrick met Nikita's gaze, unflinching, face completely devoid of emotion. Some people thought he was just good at masking whatever he felt, but the truth of the matter was that, most of the time, he truly felt no emotion whatsoever. To get Garrick to react to something took a lot - like, say, thinking his childe was dead. Yep, that would do it, and there was a German vampire whose life had been destroyed and now was finally, permanently, in the grave because of it.
A fire elemental who had double crossed the Roses? The man should count himself lucky that he was still alive, though there wasn't anything that said he'd remain that way for long. It had been a long time since Garrick had been hired for anything besides assassin work - his last spy job had been that black ops mission in World War II. "Experienced in such work, yes," and this quirked up one corner of the vampire's mouth in something of a smirk, "and I would enjoy the opportunity to put those skills to use again. And I'll ensure the man stays alive. For now." A job was a job, didn't matter if this elemental was alive or dead to him. Nikita wanted him alive, he'd stay alive.
He nodded, "Yes, Miss Vostrikova, I am quite interested. What's the payment?"
