I got a little bird. I'm gonna take her home.
Who: Bartleby and Kumiko
Where: Near Bartleby's home
When: Dusk
Warning: Violence
Having no clients for the night meant one thing - Kumiko was now bored. Tuesday nights weren't exactly ideal to go clubbing or drinking, and even if she did want to, she would only be able to if she found an old enough guy who was willing to let her in. Or sing to the bouncers or something, if she really had to. In the day and age she lived in, that was far too risky to do. Karma was certainly biting her hard in the ass for all the times she literally got away with murder. So what was a siren to do on such a dull night? Aside from killing someone, of course. She had already gotten her murderlust fill the prior night via a not so willing client. That was one way to drain people of blood. But killing aside, that left Kumiko with one feasible choice and that was take flight around town.
She had always been cautious with her bird form since coming to America. A Red-crowned Crane wasn't really something that you typically saw in the country, let alone Scarlet Oak, Michigan, thus leading her to predominately take flight at night. And if someone spotted her, like a hunter? She would put up one hell of a fight. Wouldn't be the first time she killed a bitch in her bird form. The second that dusk rolled around, she slipped on out to her balcony and let her robe fall to the ground, leaving her bare to the warm, summer breeze. It didn't take long for her to shift into her bird form and with that she flew on off to conquer the evening.
Kumiko remained north of the town, keeping away from the downtown portion. After circling the skies for awhile, she noticed a serene stream by some lush trees that seemed safe enough to scout out. Landing within the shallow water, she mentally sighed while listening to the wildlife chirp and creak around her. It reminded her of the old days when she would do this and get away with it without a question. Keeping to herself, she roamed around the water while ruffling her feathers on and off to keep cool.
