Who knew, this was Tessa they were talking about, and she didn't scare easy. While she was curious about what was going on in Graham's life, she also knew that she hadn't know the guy that long, and he didn't need to tell her every single detail about what was going on. When it affected her, she expected him to let her know. Really, it wouldn't be the first time she'd found herself in the middle of something and it wouldn't be the last, either.
That earned a genuine laugh out of her. "Oh, but I'd only let them attack you for a couple minutes before calling them off," she teased, trying to imagine four or five little kids trying to take the much-taller man down. It was funny in her head. It spoke of dedication to her, that was for damn sure. If she was worth taking out baby ninjas to see her again, Tessa was going to take that as a good sign.
"Mmm, would have been more fun if you'd joined me, I'm sure." No lying behind her words, Tessa would have been glad for the company. "I went out to a bar, had a few drinks. Met another Fire, nice girl. A lot of alcohol involved, though." That thought never really registered in Tessa's mind, because any night out to a bar could involve a lot of alcohol. And to think, she'd only gone out because she'd been bored, and it had seemed like a good idea at the time. "But since the hangover wasn't all that bad, I guess all is well."
