She enjoyed Graham's company regardless, be that while they were on the phone or in person. In person was always better of course, it was hard to snuggle a phone, and though she didn't know the exact circumstances why Graham was so busy, right now it didn't really matter. He'd remembered to call her. It was a good feeling, spreading through her, and she wondered if the sudden spike in her emotions would be enough to wake her familiar.
"I'm not opposed to spending all night on the phone with you, you know," she said, leaning back a little and hitting the mute button on the TV. Who cared what rerun of CSI or Law & Order or some shit had come on after her movie? Tessa had a very important someone to talk to. "I'm glad to finally hear from you. I had thought I might fall into that old 'when to call after a first date' trap, but then I realized that I didn't care about that anyway." Because 1. Graham had texted her, and 2. really, she was Tessa, since when did she live up to anyone's expectations for her?
"And I've been good. Had an interesting night last night, which makes up for how uninteresting the few days before that had been. Aside from the demon attack, I mean. That was on Friday."
