So give me something to believe
Who: Kiara and Tobias + Eilir (NPC)
Where: SOHS
When: Mid-afternoon
This whole demon thing was very good for business. Kiara had collected vials of blood from various corpses throughout the night and was going to have to test them out to see what they were once this little fiasco was over. But the downside of it - and yes, there was a downside - was that she was just as much a target as anyone else. Oh, there was not a drop of fear anywhere in her veins but she did have an annoying little voice nagging away in her head, telling her that she needed to go hide somewhere and stop presenting such a lovely target to the demons. Just because she knew a spell that would work did not mean she had to keep using it. And so, mostly to alleviate the boredom that was starting to set in from not even having work to keep her mind occupied, Kiara found herself wandering into the local high school's gym to have a look at all of the people who had run away from home with their tails between their legs. Quite the variety and just glancing around the room told her that multiple races had gathered. Like that was definitely a were bird with all of the flitting about and the nervous gestures. Kiara had long ago learned tell-tale signs for that sort of were if only because she had once passed herself off as one. Ugh, terrible experience.
Just about ready to turn and go because nothing interesting was going on, Kiara stopped dead in her tracks, frowning at a man who had just gone by. He looked familiar for some reason. Turning on her heel, Kiara slipped around various people until she could get a look at his face again. Yes, there was something in the set of his face that looked extremely familiar. The siren stood there staring for a few minutes while her mind worked it over, snapping her fingers when it finally came to her - that was Tobias whatever his last name was. The husband of Athena, one of the strangest sirens Kiara had ever met while she was back in New York City. What are you so excited about all of a sudden? Eilir asked, stirring from her little nap and fluttering her wings on top of Kiara's head. Just looks like some ordinary guy to me. He our next mark?
Maybe. But I've got something else in mind for him first. Kiara had to wipe the smirk off her face and tried to appear surprised as she stepped past a few people and right in front of the man. "Tobias!" she exclaimed, reaching out to touch one of his arms. "Oh my, it's really you. I hadn't even dreamed I'd come across the likes o' you here. Sorry, you don't know me but I know you. Sort of. Kiara O'Neill." She released her hold on his arm to extend her hand even as she leaned in, trying to make her voice low. "I'm sorta a friend o' your wife, Athena's. Seen pictures o' you and even if I hadn't there's those girls. Precious things, can see them in you, or the other way around I suppose." Did he know about the girls? Oh, nope, that's why she left. This should be just lovely. Exactly what she needed to make the day better.
