While she wasn't one to be easily frustrated, or frustrated much at all, Raina could see how frustrating this inability to communicate could be. There might not have been much she could have really said, but the fact that it was entirely out of that option was just disheartening. The younger of the two women set the cup her hands aside, although there really wasn't much to do with her free hand besides to let it settle on her thigh as the blonde tended to her injured wrist.
A glance upwards, at the door Isaiah had disappeared through, and Raina's dark eyes settled on his mother again, nodding even if her words could not make her understanding well known. She had had brushes with Isaiah's worrying nature before, glimpses, at least, but to be in the thick of it certainly solidified the thought that in that way he was very much like her. In that moment she worried herself, about her family, her friends, her past students. When she thought of what had happened to her, what she had seen, it was entirely terrifying. Not anything she would want to wish on anyone else, let alone a worse outcome.
There was a need to find out what had happened to, firstly, her family and closest friends, to be sure they were safe. The demon's lingering influence, something still to be banished, meant that she could not do as much as simply place a phone call or send a text message from a borrowed phone to find out how accurate or far off her worries were. Especially her worst worries.
Not far away, Bean was staring up at the dove in fascination, watching every little movement as if it were so many images flickering on a television set. The puppy had not been around many more than a pair of Weres and her mistress's Familiar, not tamed animals. There had been that rabbit at the park, which had made an awful ruckus while small humans flocked to it with wet earth. Bean hadn't understood its distress, she liked mud.
Oma moved closer to her Elemental, understanding at least the feelings of worry, pain and lingering fear, now mixed with some of her usual calm and trust, and wanting to reassure the Earth Elemental.
