Although she distinctly remembered the crack of a sound that the phone had made when it hit her doorstep, Raina had yet to know or see that the demon had trod upon it while chasing her into the house. And there was no way to know, or retrieve the heavy store of text messages and voicemails that had piled up since it was broken, and would continue to until she could get a hold of her sister, best friend and parents.
There was a tone to her worried thoughts, a sort of amorphous feel, but one that Oma recognized from previous brushes, despite the fact that the thoughts themselves continued to be in a strange language she did not understand. In response, the little bear set her paws on the bench beside Raina, nudging the Elemental's thigh with her nose, a stream of thoughts spoken only to her of reassurances. Raina was grateful for her Familiar's presence, and was especially glad that she had hid when the demon had tore through the door and then through the garden.
A small snort echoed in Isaiah's direction, in a pause of Oma's stream of reassurances to her Elemental. 'I didn't chew on Sparky's fluffy bunny, I think I'll be fine.'
Raina was surprised over the revelation of Isaiah's mother, having met her on several occasions, but neither alarmed nor illogically upset. Just surprised. She nodded, but the ability to voice that her surprise was nothing negative was then beyond her reach. So, instead, she settled for the most basic reassurance that came to mind, leaning forward and a fraction up to kiss him softly. When she pulled away, it was only to set her forehead against his, hoping he would understand.
