It would not be a problem for Raina to borrow his phone and text her sister, and her friend, to let them know she was okay. Or, more likely, he would text them for her, if her current language skills crossed over into writing, as well. With her own phone smashed to pieces on the front step, there was little hope of fixing the device, and with the current panic in town, it could be a few days before she could get a new one. Isaiah, of all people, understood the need to reach out and make sure everyone was okay - it was what led him to drive out here to find her.
Isaiah didn't want to see any harm come to Oma, or to Bean, if they left them behind. Though he wasn't living with familiars himself, he knew what could happen if a familiar should die, and he was not about to let that happen to Raina. It was the same reason why he and his father made sure to take Elijah out of the house with them for this last full moon - both Adrie and Lizzy had small bird familiars, a dove and a sparrow respectively, tempting prey for falcon and hawk alike. Isaiah and Josiah were old enough to know better, but sometimes, Elijah got confused, being much younger. Better to eliminate the problem than face such consequences.
How Oma would react to having not one were-bird around, but three, plus the two familiars, could be interesting indeed.
Okay, she was cool with him driving the car - at least that way he could make it go as fast as he needed it to. In that moment, he wished he could understand the words coming out of her mouth rather than going by expressions alone, because that look of surprise could get a whole lot worse once this was all explained. "My mother's a white witch," he said, watching Raina's eyes. "Mastered, and strongly angelic blooded. If what the demon's done to you is some kind of a spell, she'll know how to fix it." The "I hope" he attached to that sentence went unspoken. "At the very least, there's wards on the house and I know a demon can't get to us there."
