Shut Up, Shut Up, I Can't Listen Anymore Who: Barnabas, Yelena and Andras demon (NPC) Where: Streets of SO When: Twilight
Yesterday had been wonderful. Barnabas had known that his daughters were nearby but he hadn't expected to come across them that very day. And with such good news! Maybe not all of it like the incident with Aetheria's throat but close enough because their elder sister, Amaya, was there as well. Today had been nowhere near the same. He didn't really have a problem with anything since it had not affected him, but Diana was beside herself. Something about demons and then she had been gone, the air around her fairly crackling, leaving Barnabas to search for her yet again. Sometimes he thought that she forgot he even existed.
It was growing dark as he walked the quiet streets of Scarlet Oak, eyes peeled for anything out of place. Not only did he wish to find his wife and make sure that she wasn't trying to tangle with a demon, he wanted to make sure that his daughters were alright. They were all angelic-blooded, surely that meant - wait. Barnabas stopped, ducking back into a shadow as something started in his direction. Reaching up to readjust his glasses he squinted through the dark, swearing that whatever he was seeing was as dark as the shadows... and were those wings?! Before he could fully register the thought his mind, normally quiet thanks to his ability to tune out others, was flooded with dark, hateful things.
Stumbling, Barnabas clutched at his head. Hateful, harsh words streaming through his head and some sort of dark chuckling. Barnabas tried to shake it off, turning away, but it was hard to keep going when all he could do was listen to the hateful things rushing through. "Stop!" he cried, running for a whole three paces before he felt himself bump into something else. There were other voices now that he could hear with his ears. Ears blurred with tears he couldn't control he glanced up at whoever it was he'd come across. The thoughts were still there, assaulting his mind, tearing it apart. "...help."
