Day made a face at the bare honesty. Sometimes he had to wonder how Danny had been as popular and social as he was without having learned the benefit of subtlety and toning down the exact verbiage without ruining the import of the message. "I will think of something. Having a few contacts to begin with will help, I think...." Even if he wasn't the star of campus, even if he was popular with one crowd or another, or within a large circle of friends, he could make due. "But thank you for the warning, anyway. I don't know a lot about the social atmosphere at a college, aside from silly movies about sororities and fraternities." And he might even have gone for that, if they didn't have humiliating hazing rituals. If he could find one without those, he could consider it.
