Cameron nodded and when the nurse had left, he reached out to squeeze Amanda's hand and brush a kiss against her forehead. So she was sleeping, didn't really matter. If he was leaving then he was going to let her know that he was going. "I'll be back soon, Amanda." Then he slipped out of the room and waited for the nurse, Tony or something, to get done. Because something to eat really did sound good. He wasn't going to be able to keep running on fumes if he wanted to be ready for everything.
And there was the nurse. Cameron pushed himself off the wall and followed to the elevator, stepping inside when it arrived. "Must be hard," Cameron remarked, staring at the wall. It wasn't his usual style but he was beyond exhausted physically and mentally so he just said what he thought. "To know that you have to deny what happened when everyone knows the truth." Because they did by now, the newspaper and stations had been all over that. Hell, even Missy Peloe herself had shown up for an interview earlier in the afternoon. Not that she was all that big a deal, Cameron just didn't like her.
