We're all in the mood for a melody, and you've got us feeling all right Who: Grayson Mudali and Ian Cochran Where: Heme When: Early evening
Grayson had spent most of his life running various restaurants and establishments. He had the most experience with bars, of course, and though alcohol itself did very little for him since he'd been turned, that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the atmosphere of the place regardless. Usually, he spent most nights up in the VIP area of Heme, overseeing what was going on from being the scenes. Unless something of epic proportions occurred, Grayson didn't need to step downstairs for much of anything, aside from maybe a drink of his own.
Tonight, however, Saoirse was still out of commission, which left him down a bartender. And likely, had Seer decided to come to work anyway, Grayson would have driven her back home, remembering all too well the sight of her wounds from two days before. Instead, one of the younger vampires had taken her place behind the bar, and Grayson was keeping an eye on him. Once upon a time he'd been the one making drinks in RiRa's, back when it was still a speakeasy, and he remembered how it was done.
So that was how he knew that, just by watching, that the Long Island Iced Tea the bartender was making was all wrong. "You forgot the gin," he said, pointing to the shaker the other vampire had in his hand. When he blinked at Grayson, he said, "It's a very simple recipe, do you need me to show you?"
Perhaps the boy was just flustered, but he spilled out the drink and started over, the proportions correct and everything included this time. Grayson knew he sometimes made his staff nervous, especially as they weren't used to him overseeing everything from a perch at the bar itself. In a few minutes, once the bartender seemed to have his act together, Grayson would retreat back to his office, where he'd likely stay for the remainder of the night.
It still pained him a little to see good liquor down the drain, though. Such a waste.
