In this life Who: Lia and Missy Where: Starbucks When: 2:00 p.mish
After her session with Naoki, Missy was in desperate need of caffeine. The tea had been nice and all but not near enough for her typical cravings and that was why on her way out to Ann Arbor she had to swing by Starbucks. Not just for a drink either, but to sit down and relax a little bit before her head exploded. Her leg was better, not even a hint of a limp left to indicate that she had been shot a few days ago. That'd kill Nikita, Missy thought with a smug little smile as she stepped up to the counter to order a large shot-in-the-dark with three extra shots. The teen behind the counter goggled at her but Missy was not sure if that was for her accent, her news reporter status, or the fact that she had just ordered more caffeine than a typical person consumed in a week. Maybe all three? Ah well, did not matter much to her.
Brushing her hair back, Missy dug into her wallet to shell out the cash before moving down to wait. As always, her eyes scanned the crowd to take in who might possibly be around. She was always on the lookout for vampires or fang-bangers and she had met one of the later just the other day. A countrywoman. Her lip curled a little at the thought and she tried to shrug it off. No need to be thinking about such unpleasant things when they were not actually there to bother her. She should be thinking about what she was going to present as her next big story. Her fingers drummed against the surface of the counter while she waited, running through a reel of options.
