Callalily had always been the friendly type of kitty. Ian was convinced that if someone broke into his apartment that she would meow at the intruder and roll onto her back, demanding some tummy rubs. Seriously, she was just a giant, fluffy teddy bear and just enjoyed attention. She kept nuzzling and purring against Alanna, loving the fact she was being held and completely unaware of the fact she was being brought back to her home.
And Ian was still sitting there, munching on the third cupcake when Alanna finally came back with his cat in tow. Perking up, his mouth full of the delicious treat, he just blinked his eyes for a moment before jumping to his feet and finally swallowing down the food. "Sorry, I... uh... didn't know if... Well, you kind of went on your way, really. Though maybe..." Then he just shrugged, because if he was to explain his logic in staying behind and letting the speedy girl go after the cat, then he was going to have to say more than once sentence and that was simply too awkward for Ian. Instead he flashed a brief, quirky smile and averted his gaze to the container of cupcakes, picking them up in the process. After propping his door opened, he glanced over to Alanna again. "...um, care to come in...?"
