Kai was fully aware of the fact that Dagmar was going to be late, due to a last minute visit to her fiery friend. There was some massive eye rolling at that text message, but whatever. Not like she cold stop her friend from doing what she wanted to do. Just as long as she didn't invite Bren over, then all was well, because then Kai would have found a new hobby in chucking ice cubes at the fire elemental. Hmmm, maybe she should have done that from the start anyways. Either way, Kai had to wait for Dagmar. She placed an order for Dagmar's salad and one of those grand slams for herself, seeing she hadn't eaten since lunch time. Kai had gone through three glasses of water while waiting for her friend and was entertaining herself with gnawing on the straw she had. All while drumming her fingers against the edge of the table. Good times.
When she finally heard Dagmar's voice, she perked up and waved her down while moving her bag off of the table to give the water elemental more room. Before she could get a word in, Dagmar was already jumping down her throat, to which Kai shot her a wide eyed stare and threw her hands up in the air in defeat. "Hey hey now! Don't go off telling me how to be myself! I just say it like it is, girl. Like how I so didn't eat your salad because it hasn't arrived yet." Dropping her arms to the side, she sighed heavily and shook her hair out of her eyes while adjusting her glasses. She tried her best to not scream, but sometimes she just got so excited over things or pissed or sad. Kai couldn't help it.
And as much as she wanted to go up one side of Dagmar and down the other for making her wait because of a fire elemental, there were bigger things at hand, like why they were meeting up to begin with. "Sooooo, how's the new tattoooooo? Can I seeeee?" She flash a smile while leaning in, all sorts giddy about this. Her sweatshirt was covering up most of her ink, though it was zipped down enough to show off her two bluebirds, not to mention the anchor she had on the top of her foot, but who the hell was looking under the table?
