You are far too devious Who: Cameron and Liliya Where: Town Hall When: 4:00 p.m.ish
Appearances could be so dull sometimes, and tedious if nothing else. Liliya smiled brightly at she walked in the building that served as Scarlet Oak's town hall, nodding and murmuring hello's and random pleasantries to the people that she passed. Most of them she knew from before the Light of May though some faces were new and some held expressions she was still not used to. Fear from that secretary who had always asked after the representative's health before May and a sort of awe from that janitor who had never even looked at her twice before. Some of the changes were good but most, most she could have done without. At least the mayor would still see her and one of the possible successors, Bram Moriarty, was supernatural-friendly. Not that she trusted Moriarty as far as she could throw him. There was something about the man that made her think of water slicked with oil. But he was successful, he had the right views and therefore he was to be respected. Respect did not have to equal trust.
"I'm here to see the mayor," Liliya declared upon reaching his secretary. She knew the woman, a little older than her, and had always gotten along with her. But that was before May. Now the other woman looked at her with thinly veiled hostility. Veiled, no doubt, because the mayor considered Liliya to be worthy of his attention and what could a secretary say to change that? Nothing. So Liliya smiled pretty and tilted her head before remarking, "That is a lovely shade for you, Anna. It matches your eyes." Anna said nothing, just blinked as though surprised before buzzing in to let the mayor know.
"He'll see you now, Mrs. Kennedy." Liliya thanked her and walked into the office, taking her usual seat across the desk from the mayor before she began to talk about her latest concern in Scarlet Oak - Cameron Calvert and that debate he was trying so hard to have.
