Bartleby would learn fast enough - or perhaps not at all which would be too bad - that Kiara did not do partnerships with men. Or students. Especially not men who also happened to be students. That was like two special different degrees of complete failure being pressed into the same body and presented with a shiny bow in hopes that it would make it better. No, there was no partnership between a student and their teacher. Their was an understanding that the student would learn what the teacher wished to teach them and take that or nothing at all. Yet another fine example of why Kiara could not have taught at any sort of human university; she would have been fired within the week.
"Indeed. And no, I don't think there's anything you need be bringing." Everything that she needed to teach at a basic level she had, higher levels as well. Kiara much preferred her own equipment when it came to things like this because students so rarely had anything that was actually worth being used. Even if they did happen to be students who were old enough to animate dead bodies and the like through whatever odd form of magic this man possessed. "Just bring yourself and no more o' these things. Won't take kindly to it. Oh, and don't be late." She meant that too. Being late was a mark against whoever it was and this man had already earned one by making her wait tonight.
