Now why wasn't she giving him her name? Zach was about to ask but then she had the basketball and was focusing. Or trying to. Wow, she wasn't kidding, shooting definitely wasn't her thing. Zach darted off to catch the ball before it bounced too far away, dribbling it as he came back in. He'd probably seen stances like that back when he was in elementary school or something, or maybe gym class. Gym class basketball segment had always been awful. He shone like a star like always but the other kids? Might as well have been standing still. Embarrassing. Maybe a game of Horse with this redhead wasn't such a good idea. Few more shots just to see.
"Alright, I'll make this easy on you," Zach offered as he came up next to Alanna. "Watch how I shoot and see if you can copy it because girl, your stance... needs some work." And then he made the shot, easy as taking a breath, the ball bouncing off the corner of the red circle and swooshing through the hoop. He stepped forward to catch it before turning to hold it out. "Ah, but first your name. Got so caught up you didn't give it to me and I'm just that curious."
