Rubbing his chin, Jace thought for a moment. "I don't know, what's the charge? Though if I had to take my pick, I'd rather learn more about my element than how to break someone with mundane means." Granted, Jace had worked with monks before, he'd seen exactly how crazy some of those 'mundane means' could be. However, Jace needed to master his elemental skills, there was no doubt about that. Besides, Jace could beat the crap outta people just fine on his own, that skill could wait a bit.
Grinning he replied, "Can't it be both? These fireworks only come once a year, and it's been a while since I've lit any good flames." He'd been surprisingly good of late, keeping most of his fire to his morning meditations but he'd definitely been feeling the urge to combust some stuff. Plus, he couldn't resist spending more time with the girl, kickbutt personality aside she was pretty cute. How could he not like that?
"Hopefully you're not in too much of a rush to get outta her, Tessa."
