"Consider me reassured. Though you know I must ask who the other is now. Or others." Linnea could be jealous of the fact that Saundra got to go around doing whatever she wanted without worrying about the consequences - or rather, the same consequences, but her mood had shifted slightly when Strike woke up and now she wanted to ask questions. Plus it was Saundra, she almost never had a problem dishing out on things she knew. Which should have been a shade more alarming, perhaps, but Linnea did not connect the fact that Saundra loved talking with the idea that maybe she liked talking about everything. Including her.
She did sigh inwardly at her own slip up. "No, no, I'd never have two men over at the same time. What would people say of me?" Quite a bit actually if anyone heard about her trip to the Owl's Nest last week, but that had not come back to bite her. Silly moment, forgetting where she was and that just because the one she was with could not see did not mean that everyone else was blind. Only they seemed to be. "Kivi is what I call Bradley. It means 'stone'. Because he's always there when I need him, for a morning swim or something when I don't feel like being alone." And also because he could, literally, become a stone like all master earth elementals. But that was not her secret to share. "Sorry to disappoint you by not having anything that interesting for you." She smiled over her cup, which was already half empty again. Looked like she was going to need to make another pot after Saundra left so that Jokull had nothing to complain about when he arrived.
