Why would Tobias shun him? He'd been raised among psychics - raised to continue the bloodline, as it were, so the powers didn't die off with him. Jonathan had at least gotten telekinesis, so his parents were pleased at that. Still, he could understand Nicolas' hesitation; it wasn't something any psychic he'd ever met often shared. Well, unless they were trying to make money off it, but that usually just brought to mind images of Miss Cleo and the Psychic Friends Network. Real life didn't work like that.
So he nodded, food forgotten for the moment. "Yes. It's kind of like... an itch in the back of your mind, knowing which direction to go in. I've never been able to explain it, not really. Objects are easy, I usually don't even need a focus for that. People..." He looked down at his hand, spinning his wedding band around on his finger. "People are harder." And he left it at that. Nicolas knew enough already.
After a moment, Tobias shook his head, as if clearing the thoughts away. He'd dwell on that later. "Your desk just needs to be organized," he said. "And yeah. My parents are both psychics, their parents were psychics, you get the picture. It was expected that we'd all develop something." The Davidsons had thought something was wrong with Tobias when his finder powers didn't manifest right away. Compared to what his siblings went through, he was pretty sure that it might have been for the best.
