Adrian tried not to take it too personally. He did have a long way to go, and anyway, it was entirely his fault for not practicing. He laughed, just a little bit strained, and cleaned some of the dirt away from Bren's knee before sticking the bandaid on it.
"I'm not really sure. I guess I'm about halfway to level 2. It would've helped if my mom had told me about it earlier." He didn't elaborate, since he still didn't have much of an excuse--he'd had almost eight years to work on it.
"White magic is kind of tough to practice. I mean, it's harder to tell when a spell's actually worked, since a lot of it's about prevention. At least I know my apartment's never going to get robbed."
He moved on to her hand, cleaning the scrape as best he could. "What about you? I mean, I don't...know what all being an elemental entails, I don't think I know any."
