cause it's witchcraft, wicked witchcraft Who: Adrian and Bren. Where: Scarlet Oak Community Park. When: Early afternoonish.
Today wasn't really a park-weather kind of day, still a little overcast and annoyingly humid, but Adrian didn't have the luxury of being able to relax in the park whenever he wanted. At least his day off wasn't rainy.
Besides, he didn't mind when the weather was a little gray. It always made things feel kind of cozy and close, whether indoors or outdoors. The grass was a bit damp, but he cleared off a nice bench under a tree and kicked back with some music and a book. He occasionally liked to torture himself by reading awful medical thrillers that purported to be realistic--he had to imagine there were probably some masochistic historians who did the same thing with Dan Brown novels.
He hummed along to his music, quietly singing under his breath. The book had taken a turn for the boring, so he tucked it back into his bag and stretched his legs out in front of him to just people-watch for a while.
