Just one fantasy off the list Who: Gabe and Claire When: Evening Where: Gabe's House Warning NSFW
Since Claire had been back, she had been trying to get more hours at the bookstore. People had been sort of tip toeing around actually wanting to make her work, but once she assured them she was fine and not a delicate glass doll that was going to break, they seemed to finally get the picture. Which meant more hours, and thankfully a bigger paycheck. However, the downside of working so much also meant not being able to see Gabe as much as she'd like. And with the demon attacks, there had been less opportunity to actually go see him, unless he was picking her up from work or something.
Tonight she drove directly to his house and walked inside without knocking. By now she doubted he or his mother minded it, and she knew it was in her best interest after dark to not wait around on the porch while someone came to answer. Setting her bag down, Claire glanced around. "Gabe?"
"Up here!" Gabe called, hitting pause on Halo to rise to his feet. He'd heard her car pull up and the door shut, but he hadn't known it was Claire until moments before, when he'd caught her scent from up the stairs. He still found it wild how natural that seemed, but he was starting to get used to it. If it hadn't been her, he'd be hiding by now, prepared to fight whatever had walked in the front door. These days, it could be anyone or anything.
As much as he hated Claire being out by herself, especially close to dark, he knew that until they were officially living together that it was hard not to be alone at some point. He just preferred that he be in danger over her, even if he wasn't entirely sure he could handle it any better. At least he could shift to fight against something other than human. "Hey," he smiled, hurrying down the stairs to meet her. Slipping an arm around her waist, he kissed her casually. "How was work? Safe day?"
"Boring day," Claire corrected, sliding her arms up and around his neck. "Not a lot of people feel like shopping for books and magazines these days, but as long as I get a paycheck, I guess I can't complain." She couldn't blame people for not wanting to be out late, with all the chaos going on in the world, and in Scarlet Oak. "Is your mom home?" She hadn't heard Thessaly, but that didn't mean she wasn't hiding out in her room or elsewhere. "What'd you do to keep busy all day?" It was strange how the first thing she noted was how warm he was, and how great he smelled.
"Boring's good," Gabe reminded her as he rested his forehead against her own. It was bad enough she'd been kidnapped such a short time ago, but now they had to worry about demons as well. Gabe was aware that he couldn't keep an eye on her all the time, but he still worried. At least she worked in a fairly safe environment. "Mom's still at work. It's been busy lately, so she's been there more than usual. Apparently the ER is kind of crowded... but that works in my favor-- I got the job as a Patient Care Assistant in the Emergency Room," he grinned, rather proud of himself. Maybe his mother's name had influenced the decision, but he was still excited about the job and was sure he could earn their respect as soon as he was given a chance. "Otherwise, I worked out and played Halo."
Claire pulled back, her eyebrows lifted in surprise. "You did? That's so great!" Not that she had doubted him or anything, but it was really great to hear he'd taken the initiative to go after the job. And yes, being Thessaly's son probably helped, but Claire was positive Gabe would do a great job. Smiling, Claire hugged him tightly and pressed a kiss against his lips. "We'll have to figure out a way to celebrate. Your job sounds way better than mine." More hectic, that was for sure, and probably better paying. Not that Claire minded. Any income helped.
He was far more excited when sharing the news with her than he had been by himself, perhaps because it came with a kiss and a hug. While he had the feeling that girls had bragged about dating him, it usually wasn't for his mind. If he was going to have a house and continue to pay for dates with Claire, he needed an income of his own. Plus, it seemed somewhat wrong for her to be working while he sat at home and goofed off. "I don't know that it's better," he grinned. "I'm not a nurse or anything-- I don't have that kind of authority or training-- but it's better than a cleaning technician. I'm basically a nurse's assistant. But if I ever want to be a nurse or a doctor or something, then it's good experience." It was about time he started thinking about his future, right? "What sounds like a good way to celebrate? We could... have our own little party? I'd say go for a night swim, but I don't know how safe it is." That definitely sounded appealing though.
"That's definitely better," Claire assured him. "I stock books and deal with crabby customers. You get to do something that matters." Which was great, especially since she was sure he could learn a lot from that particular job. Maybe he would enjoy it enough that he would realize what he wanted to do for a living. She glanced outside, unsure if it was totally safe to go swimming this late. "I don't know if being outside is a smart thing to do." Claire smiled, her eyes holding a bit of mischief. "But if you're up for getting wet, we could just take a shower. Or you know, play Halo and cook some food, depending on what kind of mood you're in."
Damn the demons for preventing skinny dipping from being an option! If there wasn't the risk of being attacked, it would have been the perfect way to celebrate. Then again, it could have been ruined by them being caught, so maybe Claire's suggestion was a better option-- it was growing on him by the second and he didn't even need a shower. "You think I could even consider playing Halo when you've offered to shower with me?" he asked with a smirk. Now, if he could only find some way to combine them... then again, he didn't want Halo to distract him when he could have Claire. "Any chance I can talk you into all three?" he asked, hands sliding under the back of her shirt as he pulled her closer to him.
Claire lifted her eyes upward, as if considering. "Hmm... maybe. We'll see if you can persuade me. I really suck at Halo though." Not that it mattered, it would still be fun to be able to be there and relax with him, doing normal things rather than worrying - even though she knew she'd be doing that in her mind anyway. "But if you offer to cook me dinner afterward, then I'll definitely say yes to all three." She was pretty sure Gabe had the kind of power to convince her to do anything, not that she would ever tell him that in case he decided to take advantage of it.
Gabe grinned, glad to hear that it was Halo that he had to convince her for, not the showering. As his mind began to stray that direction, he began to walk backwards towards the stairs, tugging her along with him. "I'll cook for you," he said, stealing a kiss. "Spaghetti, pancakes, hot dogs, grilled cheese, you name it. So long as we have it here, I'll make it." He knew there was no chance of him wandering out again after the shower. It'd be hard enough to drag his ass down to the kitchen, when he suspected he'd rather stay in bed. "I'm gonna have to learn to cook when we move in together," he laughed softly.
"I can cook," Claire said with a grin as she followed him to the stairs. "Sort of. I mean, we did okay making pizza for ourselves that one time. And I'm really skilled at picking up the phone and ordering take out." Which, if places were delivering, they may just have to do if the shower exhausted them. She stepped up onto the first step and turned toward him to tug his shirt up and off. They weren't to the bathroom yet, but that was okay. She was getting a little overeager.
"I've got nothing against delivery," Gabe said with a grin as he lifted his hands to help tug his shirt off. He grabbed it before it fell to the floor, but only because a trail of clothes leading up to his room wouldn't be the least bit covert and he didn't need another lecture from his mom. So long as he was still living at home, he'd promised to keep things clean or out of sight. He had the feeling that his mother wouldn't consider taking a shower together as 'keeping things clean', but it made Gabe laugh mentally. Pushing Claire's shirt up as she backed up the stairs, he kissed her stomach, then lifted the shirt above her head. "I've wanted to get you in my shower again, ever since graduation," he smiled.
Claire lifted her arms to get her shirt off, feeling her skin tingle where his lips had pressed a kiss against her stomach. "I guess now is the most opportune time, isn't it?" When they had their own place, they could shower all the time together. It was such a girly feeling to get all warm inside, but she decided not to resist it at the moment. She continued up the stairs and slipped a finger inside the waistband of his jeans to tug him up after her. As long as his mom wouldn't be home for awhile, they should have plenty of time to do everything she was wanting to do. "I think you're turning me into a nympho of some sort."
"Is that supposed to be a bad thing?" Gabe asked, following her up the stairs, his hands sliding along the exposed skin of her waist. When they reached the top of the stairs, Gabe pulled Claire to him, kissing her deeply as his hands slid up her back. It took only a second to unhook her bra, at which point he pulled away just enough to pull it out from between them. "You know the only problem with living together is that we'll have no reason to leave the house, right?" he laughed against her lips as he pulled her into the bedroom. Sometimes it felt like they were domesticating each other, but when it came to things like sharing a bed Gabe didn't mind in the least. He'd always had fun with Claire and he doubted that would change just because they were sharing a living space.
"What about eating?" Claire asked with a small grin against his lips. "Or work? If we stay here all the time, people will come looking for us." They both had lives, and friends - more Gabe than herself, but that was okay - but the thought of hiding away inside with him was a nice one. Especially given the circumstances of the world right now. Her hands slid down to tug at unbuttoning his pants and she kissed him again, feeling more and more content with the familiarity of his lips and taste. They hadn't been together long, but it felt like an eternity - in a good way.
"People can fuck off," Gabe laughed. "Or they can come to us. They might wanna knock first though." He was sure his friends would learn that rather quickly, if they didn't know to do so already. While he didn't care who saw him, he had the feeling Claire would be mortified if someone walked in on them. "I like when you undress me," he said, brushing kisses across her lips as he unbuttoned her pants as well. With all the other girls he'd dated, he couldn't remember ever being this comfortable with a girl. Maybe it was because Claire was his mate, but he had the feeling it was because it was Claire. Things felt right in all the right ways.
"I don't think it works that way," Claire reminded him. "People will think we're recluses and deem us the scary couple down the street. If we get a couple cats, that just makes it worse." She got to pushing his pants down his hips before she smiled. "I like undressing you." He had a fantastic body, and she'd always liked admiring it, even if she had to do it in a very subtle way before they had become more than friends. Generally she would have felt self conscious about being topless, but her hands were too busy getting his pants off to cover up her chest. And even if she'd done that, Gabe probably would have moved her hands away anyway, so why bother? Returning his kiss, she finally pulled back and bit her lip briefly. "I went on the pill. I hope that's okay."
"I don't think cats would like me all that much," Gabe snickered. "I guess we'll have to be social from time to time." His hands slid into her pants, squeezing her ass before he pushed them down and allowed her to step out of them. He knew how body shy she was, so he always considered it a privilege to be able to see her in full view. Someday he hoped she'd realize how beautiful she was, and he believed the enjoyment he got out of seeing her would help her get there. "Really?" Gabe asked, a bit surprised but not at all displeased. "That's awesome. So we don't need anything?" he asked, his arms sliding around her to pull her body against his own. He'd always heard it was better without a condom, but it wasn't something he'd ever experienced for himself.
Claire had asked about it before she left the hospital. Which may have been a strange time to inquire about birth control, but she knew better than to let it go too long. Gabe had a way of taking Claire away from the rational part of her mind. Not that it was a bad thing, but when she couldn't think properly, things could happen which might not have the best consequences. Claire's arms came up around his neck and she leaned in to kiss him deeply. This felt nice in the midst of everything happening around them. Gabe was familiar, and safe and she didn't have to worry about him hurting her. Letting her fingers slide through his hair, she nipped at his bottom lip sharply. "No, I don't think we need to use anything."
He moaned as she bit his lip, hands sliding over her hips and squeezing as he ground against her. "God, I love you," he muttered, before giving in and kissing her deeply. The intent had been to take a shower together, but he wasn't all that sure they were going to make it. As erotic as it sounded, he wasn't sure about some of the technicalities-- it seemed a lot more work to keep from falling while under a spray of water and up against the wall. Using the bed would be much more convenient, and probably just as much fun. Still, the shower had it's draw... these were the types of difficult decisions that kept him up at night! Tugging her towards the bathroom, he thought they'd at least give it a try. Worst that could happen was that they abandoned the shower halfway through and got his bed all wet in the process.
"I love you too," Claire said, once she had to finish their kiss for oxygen. She didn't care if they made it to the shower or not, seeing as how her body was already burning up just from kissing and touching him. He definitely had that animal magnetism going for him, and thankfully she was learning to just let herself go and enjoy him completely without worrying about her body or wondering if this was all real. There was a few brief kisses as she got the rest of her clothes off and then pulled away from Gabe. Reaching into his shower, she turned on the taps before grabbing Gabe's hands to yank him to her. "As wrong as it probably was, I was thinking about the possibility of this all day."
It was such a big turn on to hear her say that, that she'd been thinking about being with him even when he was away. Guys, he knew, were always thinking about sex. For girls, he knew that wasn't always the case. Gabe had thought about fucking Claire at least five times today, but it was much hotter to imagine Claire fantasizing about them together. "Showering together?" Gabe asked with a grin, stepping into the shower after her. "Or somewhere else?" After pulling the curtain closed, he bent to catch one nipple with his teeth before sucking lightly. His hand slid up between her legs as he looked up at her, hoping she'd be willing to tell him as he played with her.
Okay, so it was really hard to think when his hand was between her legs like that, and oh my god, his mouth... it sent her thoughts into incoherent jumbles. Her fingers dug lightly into his shoulders where she was gripping him to her, and Claire had to force her eyes to stay open so she could look at him. A soft flush spread over her face, but now was not the time for modesty, was it? "Um...the shower crossed my mind a few times... I've always... had a fantasy of just being in your bed." They'd had sex in a tent, in her bed... when Gabe had first moved to town and they had become friends, she had let her mind wander around dirty fantasies of being in his bed though she had no idea why. She had loved being in his room, away from her own house, spending time with him. Plus his pillows and sheets always smelled like him. Not that she would admit to smelling them, but still. Anyway, there went her brain rambling on again. "You're making it really hard to concentrate," she admitted with a small laugh as her back arched and she instinctively pushed against his mouth.
As fun as the shower seemed, hearing that Claire had fantasized about being in his bed with him tore Gabe away from it. They would always have a shower around, but it wouldn't be long before they had their own bed, in their own house. Not that they couldn't come stay at his mom's house, but it would be a little odd at that point just to come over and have sex there. Gabe was also eager to please-- they'd need a shower afterwards anyways, and who said they couldn't go again. Looking up at her, Gabe smiled against Claire's skin as he reached out with his free hand and turned off the water. "The shower can wait," he grinned. "Join me on the bed?" He didn't really think he had to ask.
