That wasn't Psalm. That was a front to keep people away from him. She didn't care what he said. It just wouldn't get through. "Alright then. Believe whatever you want." She wasn't going to push him anymore. For now, at least. Everything was blowing up in her face.
Okay, that hit her hard. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she didn't look away from him. "Quit acting like I'm out to get you. I care about you and was trying to be helpful." Apparently that was unacceptable to him. Her heart felt so heavy right then.
"Is it wrong for me to miss you? Is it wrong for me to want to talk with you? I can't stay away. I won't. I refuse." She whispered the last part.
I had to get in one more chance to patch things up with you. I'm scared I won't be able to see you again. The thought of not seeing him anymore made the tears well up even worse. She wiped them away with the back of her hand, mad at herself for going back to her crybaby ways like when she was younger.
