Weird and quirky, that sounded familiar. Alanna supposed that it was the kind of thing that happened when one could not touch anything without completely freaking out. "I always consoled myself by thinking that none of them were worth being that close to," Alanna remarked as she flicked a piece of dust off the table. Not that that had really worked, but it was nice to try and pretend that it had.
Her mouth dropped open at Ariana's first remembered vision. She had seen things like that growing up, but if it had been the first... "That's harsh," the redhead mumbled with a shake of her head. "My first is when I'd fallen down and cut my knee. My mom picked me up to try and make me stop crying and I saw her holding a baby and she was so happy, only the baby was crying and she couldn't make it stop and she panicked and was so scared and sad. It was me, go figure, and I apparently started screaming so loud the neighbors thought she was trying to kill me. She didn't really try to clean me up much after that." Alanna shrugged and toyed with the salt shaker. "Always felt a little bad about that, that she couldn't even hold me without me freaking out, but she had my siblings to get all the love out on. Bet you know how it goes."
Sighing, Alanna forced a smile back on her face. "But I try not to think about my childhood because let's face it, I'm betting neither of us are poster girls for a happy childhood." But that was probably why it was so easy to talk with Ariana and Alanna had never objected to the people who did not make her want to run away.
