Her parents had typically received the newspaper daily, and while Calista wasn't known to flip through it often she decided to do just that while munching on some lunch. Living with her parents was starting to grate on the mellow girl's nerves. And when something finally got under Calista's skin, you knew it had to be bad. As she skimmed through the paper, she absent-mindedly glanced over some of the ads clustered in the middle. Most were advertising small business in the area and few here and there looked for people to rent space to. While Calista loved the idea of having her own place and finally being away from her parents, she didn't have that sort of money.
And then she came across Hope's ad... wait, Hope? As in her distant cousin hope? Calista had to flip the page back to reread that one. Oh yeah, it was definitely her alright! A soft smile emerged from the girl as she fished out her cellphone. This couldn't have been any better. Quickly punching in the number listed, Calista waited until it came to the voicemail.
"Hey stranger, long time no see. It's Calista. I just came across your ad in the paper looking for a roommate or two. Would love to take you up on that offer, though I don't know of a second to tag along..." Pausing, she tried to think of anyone off the top of her head, and seeing that there wasn't much in her head to begin with it was proving to be difficult. After a moment, she suddenly remembered the girl she met in the music store. Ella, was it? She seemed like someone who would be a good-natured roommate. "Oh wait, maybe I do. I don't know. I'll have to check. But call me back, ok? You know my number."
