Stroking a finger under Makoto's chin, Whisper decided that she was most definitely going to get herself a cat. It would be able to provide attention when she wanted it - so long as it did not shed on her furniture. Maybe there were cats that did not shed? She was going to have to look into that. Possibly when she went out and attempted to find a new toy since Karine was not yet back and she was giving Jerold up for whatever Kikuya was going to do to him.
"A midnight snack sounds absolutely delicious," Whisper agreed with a laugh. She would get a last bit of use out of Jerold before then and... the vampire's thoughts stopped when she realized something. She would be alone if that happened. Whisper could not remember the last time that she had been alone when she went to sleep for the unlife of her. How hard can one night be if I've a good meal beforehand? She dismissed it with a little shake of her head, choosing to not think of it no matter how a part of her mind was beginning to panic.
Besides, there were designs to be shown. "You're going to have to move so that I can show my designs," she informed the cat on her lap, waiting a moment before she stood, not wanting to dump him unceremoniously on the ground. Her dark eyes flickered over what Kikuya was wearing again and unconsciously she smoothed down her own dress. Red, oh but Whisper hated that color if it was not the crimson of blood. "My workshop's right up this way," she said, leading the way towards the stairs and into the room, flicking the light on and moving towards one of the more finished designs. A relatively simple midnight blue evening dress with no back, satin elbow-length gloves done to match with a thin silver trim and faint glints of silver worked into the gown itself.
"This was actually commissioned," Whisper informed Kikuya as she ran her fingers over the material. One corner of her mouth pulled up in a secretive smile. "Governor's wives, you know, always needing to look different than the rest in a one-of-a-kind. But since I'd already started I decided that it was high time for a new line of evening wear. Themed for the night to go along with the common theory that those of my inclination love it so much."
