Blake knew the feeling all too well of checking in on his sister. He had checked twice that morning before he left the house to go swimming to make sure Myra was alright. Once when he got home, and then again before he left with Fin. She still wasn't even up then. Psalm was practically camping outside of her room though, but even he had to go to work in that silly uniform of his. "...I know I know. But that bathroom is the nice one. The other one upstairs is the parental bathroom. I avoid it at all costs. Then the one downstairs doesn't have a good sized mirror." Which shouldn't be important but he often talked to himself about the day as he washed his hands. "Isn't depends like...what grandma got for grandpa for Christmas? The adult diaper thing? Ewww." It had been a joke, but one that Blake never really understood as a joke.
Laced with love, indeed. Much better than self-medication or even crying your eyes out. His mom had a batch of cookies ready for him by the time he got home from the heartbreak of a camping trip. If she hadn't been a nurse, she should have gone into cooking full time. Though then, she wouldn't be able to be around Blake nearly as much, nor would she enjoy cooking for her family quite as much as she did.
He let out a sigh of relief. "Good. Because..." Because he couldn't go through the loss of his brother. Not now, not ever.
"...She WHAT???" Blake's cheeks went red and he curled up in his seat. The word alone was bad, but insinuating that he was naked? Ugg no thank you!
"I never said that the world exists around her did I? Because then you can just stamp stupid on my forehead." He would absolutely hate that. Sure he was beginning to see what he had done wrong and that it didn't matter nearly as much as what he thought it did. But he wasn't all the way there and therefore could not look at it entirely objectively. "But thanks. Thanks for everything again. The picking me up, dealing with my mopey self for far too long, hanging out with me when you have friends. All of it." He really was appreciative and he wanted to let his brother know that.
