"Sounds like me when I'm at the museum in Detroit." Ross followed up on the notion of being distracted. "Some day it takes me an hour or so to actually reach my office just because I was busy staring at some piece on display. I mean, it's all the same thing. Not like someone rearranged the department overnight. I would like to think I would know when someone did that." Seeing that he was the museum coordinator? Oh yeah, he would be on top of that. Unless he was doing it in his sleep, the exhibits remained untouched for the most part. "Just the same stuff, but a different day. Always getting a new perspective on it. Maybe the same thing can be applied when you read a book for the hundredth times."
As they continued to walk, several older professors had walked by them, both giving Ross an odd look. He had almost forgotten that he was wearing the party hat, thus leading him to believe that they had never seen an art professor before. Upon realizing why they were staring, Ross pointed on over to Adam with a goofy smile while nodding his head. "Birthday guy!" If he was able to embarrass the hell out of his kids when they were still alive, then Ross had no issues with doing the same to Adam. He deserved to be in the spotlight for the day anyways.
