Thankfully Ross' father wasn't a professor of anything, so any preconceived ideas about the profession were of Ross' own accord and not someone else's. However, meetings in general were boring, thus he was able to sympathize with Adam. Poor guy seemed rather unenthusiastic about the whole ordeal, which Ross didn't blame him for. Hell, he felt it more than anything. Perhaps he could help out Adam in some way. True, he couldn't pull him out of the meeting entirely, but he could definitely try to change his emotions. While heading on over to the door, he began focusing some more positive energies in Adam's direction. Maybe that would put him in a better mood and thus make the whole meeting go by faster.
"Well then, I'll escort the birthday kiddo down to his meeting, party hat and all! Don't want anyone to be bombarding you with birthday wishes or presents, though I'm not stopping anyone if they want to throw confetti in your face." Because seriously, confetti was awesome! Ross motioned his hand to outside of the office while looking over to Adam. "You lead the way, kiddo. You don't want me showing the way or you'll never get to your meeting." He could locate any place on campus that had coffee, but a department meeting? Screw that.
