"Seriously?" Calista blinked in disbelief. Had she really spent that much time talking with Quentin? She didn't mind at all, especially seeing he was great company, but she couldn't stay up forever. Leaning in, she peered at his cellphone to double check the time. "I have a shift in the morning at the bakery. Bright and early at four am." Which meant Calist had to be up at at least 2:30am in order to get there somewhat close on time. It was a horrible trait of hers, but at least whatever she was doing with all that time got done thoroughly. "Probably should leave in a few."
Sighing at the thought, she rested her chin in one of her hands and stared off to the side, scrunching her face up in thought for a second. "And they're not always blue and shimmery. Sometimes they look as clear as you are and sometimes they tend to fade out into the background. It really depends on so many factors, but the easiest way to tell is if they feel cold when around them. If they ever touch you, then that's a huge clue, too, because they're usually freezing upon touch." With that in mind she took her free hand and brought it up to Quentin's cheek, skimming her thumb idly over his skin. "You're warm, so you must be alive."
