Incalescence
Who: Will and Sloane When: Late afternoon Where: The Stone House What: Sharing a secret or two
It was good that he had talked to Ben about this. Not that he wouldn't have talked to Ben about telling Sloane something of this magnitude, but talking about it with his cousin made Will more sure of what he was doing. He had followed his older cousin around like a puppy when they were kids, and as adults he still trusted Ben's judgment more than his own.
He liked Sloane a lot, had liked her as something more than platonic nearly from when they had first met. Even after one date, one day where they weren't just friends, he knew that he wanted more with and from her. And, to really get that in a way they both deserved, he had to tell her about what he was.
It was potentially dangerous news, because of the fact that he had been bitten, and not born a Were. People might not like him teaching their kids, coaching their miniature hockey players.
But he trusted Sloane.
Will had called her earlier, after talking to Ben, asking if she would come over. Now he was left waiting, although distracted by a really good piece of jerky, and any worry he could have felt vastly minimized by his inability to really hold onto negative feelings.
