Cupcakes!
Who: Isaiah Williamson and Raina Scott Where: Raina's house When: Early afternoon What: Promised cupcake decorating lessons!
Isaiah had plenty of reasons to look forward to Sunday. It was Father's Day and he spent the morning at his parents' house, making breakfast for his dad. It wasn't often Josiah Williamson gave up his kitchen willingly, letting someone else cook for him, so Isaiah jumped at the chance. This was what family was supposed to be: good food, good times, better memories.
He was still anxious for his date with Raina; both of his parents wrote it off as his normal jitters. Josiah even offered to go up for a fly with him, if there was enough time before Josiah had to be at the Nest. Isaiah just shook his head, ignoring the shit-eating grin Lizzy had on her face. When he was ready to introduce Raina to the rest of his family - formally, not just as Jocelyn's teacher - then he would.
As soon as he knew where this was going to lead.
Raina didn't say she needed anything to make their cupcakes, so Isaiah felt like he was slacking a little, showing up empty handed. It wasn't like he could show up with a bottle of wine or something, this wasn't that kind of date, and besides he didn't know what, if anything, Raina drank anyway. Or what would pair with cupcakes. But then again, he'd made the food for their picnic, so this made them even.
He was grinning as he parked the bike in front of her house, hoping he didn't look like a complete idiot as he knocked on the front door.
