WHO: Gareth and Ava
WHAT: Seeking out vampire advice
WHEN: Evening
WHERE: Outside Heme
It was late evening when Gareth decided it was time to find out what he could about Dusty's wing problem. The bald man had spent the better part of the day out of the house, with the truck, abandoning Gareth, who did not have the advantage of wings. None the less, he'd made the most of it, and had finally decided to walk into town, hoping to find someone who could help him with his questions.
He'd wandered around Scarlet Oak for the better part of an hour, watching the sunset and wondering how he would like this state when winter came. Probably not so much. He stopped in a coffee shop, grabbing a mocha, and as he stepped out into the evening dusk, he adjusted his cowboy hat-- which was now donned with the feather he'd plucked from Dusty's wing the night before -- and stopped the first person he saw on the street to ask for directions. He happened to stop a tall and lanky redhead in the company of a tiny blonde man. The two seemed to have been bickering amiably, but when he stopped them it was the redhead who gave him a smile and directions.
He followed them closely, finding himself on Wrecker St. The building was as the redhead had described it, and he approached cautiously, unsure of himself. Most likely the vampires wouldn't help him. He wasn't about to tell them that his friend had been turned, and they'd probably take his questions for someone who was either hunting, or sticking his nose where it didn't belong. It didn't matter. He had questions and he wanted them answered. Unsure of himself, he approached the building, noting how many people were around on the streets. Most of them didn't look like vampires... but, it was best to be careful. He could assume safely that a man of his profession wasn't welcome, and moreso that he was putting himself in danger by even coming near this place. Still, mused as he fingered the silver cross he wore around his neck. It's not like I don't have protection, in addition to the cross he had his silver knife on him... just to be safe.
