The magic is in the feeling I can make you do what I want you to
Who: Kikuya
Where: Community Park
When: Around 11:30pm
Warning: NSFW not for the faint of heart
The night was nowhere near as humid as it was during the day, which meant taking a night stroll down to the park was perfect. Kikuya wore an all black casual get-up with a leash in one hand and a Coach bag in the other. The puppy mastiff was being well-behaved, especially seeing that Kikuya forced him to wake up in the middle of the night. Also, luckily for her, the puppy didn't destroy her new condo either. Sure, there was a pillow he tore up when Kikuya was busy washing up in the morning, but that could be replaced, right?
At some point in the day she had stopped by a pet shop to pick up a few cans of food and the leash. The young boy working the counter was kind enough to give her a few tips on how to work with the dog. Kikuya never really had a pet, seeing that her schedule was always jammed pack, but the other models she worked with tended to have toy dogs with them at all times, poking out of their Louis Vuitton bags.
Kikuya was quite pleased when they arrived at the community park with no one in sight. No cars. No police. No teenagers making out behind a tree. Nothing. She couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. The dog itself was a blessing this morning and she was happy to see that blessing live on. Looking down to her mastiff, she gave it a few encouraging words in Japanese as they stepped off the sidewalk and onto the grass.
The instant she did so, Kikuya felt tremendous pain envelop her body. Trying hard not to scream, she quickly back tracked onto the sidewalk, tugging the dog along with her. The model dropped to her knees, gasping for air as she pushed strands of hair out of her face. It took her a moment to realize what it was, and when she did Kikuya growled with anger.
It's blessed... the area is fucking BLESSED and holy.
Kikuya wasn't sure who had done it at first, but she couldn't help but think of the redheaded woman who mocked her just the other day. It made sense, especially when she was experiencing headaches the moment the lady arrived. Kikuya hated the strong demonic blood the flowed in her veins at times, mostly due to the fact she was far more vulnerable to blessed objects, places, and people than others were. Had she walked any further Kikuya would have vomited then quickly pass out. Not the ideal scenario for the night.
As she fished through her bag, Kikuya pulled out a variety of objects, the first being a pair of latex gloves and a hairnet. Both were placed on immediately, which made her look ridiculous, but there were not paparazzi hanging out of the trees to spot her. The next objects were two black candles. Kikuya placed one on each side of her, quickly lighting them. From the glow they gave off they weren't normal, housewarming candles. Any witch, regardless of skill, would know those candles were magical and the black flame they emitted meant they were for dark use only. In the meantime, the mastiff sniffed one of the candles, causing him to back up and whimper.
"Shhh, be quiet, baby, we don't want anyone to hear you." Kikuya reached out to pet and calm the dog. "It's alright, mommy's here. She'll take good care of you." While sweet talking the dog, Kikuya looked around for the final object in her bag.
A dagger.
The dog began to whimper more upon the sight of the blade, flickering in the magical light of the candles. He tried to run away, but Kikuya kept a tight grip on the leash, reeling the puppy towards her. Once he was in range she took one hand to hold him down. Easier said than done. Kikuya was starting to wish that there was some smaller that wandered into her front yard, like a shih tzu. The mastiff was a puppy, but damn, was it huge. Kikuya managed to grab the dog by it's neck, pinning it down to the ground. It continued to struggle as she stared it down with a twisted smirk.
Kikuya raised the dagger up and that's when the dog barked. Sadly for her mastiffs had powerful barks, even for a puppy. It only had a change to bark twice before the model swiftly stabbed the dog in chest, causing it the let out a sharp cry of agony. She removed the blade only to repeatedly stab the animal to death. Once it ceased squirming and whimpering Kikuya finally stopped as well. The dagger was coated thickly in the dog's blood, and so was the ground around the puppy. Kikuya smirked at the amount of blood the dog had to offer.
Perfect.
Without hesitation, Kikuya began chanting in her native tongue. The words were slowly spoken and quiet. After a minute of chanting, the black flames from the candles flared up, creating a ward around Kikuya. She recalled receiving severe backlash the other day when she tried to preform a spell in the park. Kikuya wasn't sure how strong of a backlash she would receive for casting a blood spell, if any at all, but she decided to be safe than sorry. At the very least, the ward would act as a dampener, making any backlashes weaker.
Once the ward was set in place, Kikuya ran her gloved hands over the dagger, coating them in blood. She chanted again, but this time her words were sinister and louder. The curse she began casting would be time consuming especially when she wasn't in the center of the park where she wanted to be. Her original plan was to have the curse spread across the park, but with the area blessed and potentially having a ward around it, the best Kikuya was going to do was hit the outskirts relatively hard.
At least that one tree was on the outskirts.
The blood on the ground began hissing, eating away at whatever was in sight. As her chanting grew faster the blood traveled in haste towards the park. The moment it slipped onto the grass, a flash of light appeared, then crackled down to a weak flicker. Kikuya's eyes widened, knowing exactly what it was: a high-level white magic ward. The redhead was definitely the real deal, no doubt about it, but if Kikuya could weaken a section of the ward, then she could slip the blood in and curse the tree. Hopefully the lady would be horrified at the sight of the tree, where they met at, looming over people with a nasty crippling curse.
Though it was a struggle to break through the defenses and Kikuya could feel her spell growing weaker. Thankfully for her demonic blood also meant stronger curses, so the spell would only drop down to normal strength. After spending a minute chanting continuously in rage, the spell broke through, shattering one side of the ward as the blood rushed to the tree. Within seconds the curse had hit the tree, instantly deforming it into a dark, cursed object. It almost looked like something from a fairytale story with its withered branches creaking and its dark leaves falling off.
At the same time the spell hit, Kikuya saw from the corner of her eye a flash of white light crash into her. The black ward she put up around herself soaked most of the damage, but it instantly shattered, knocking the candles back, leaving Kikuya open for the rest of the attack. As the model was knocked down on her back, she doubled over in agony, feeling the urge to vomit. Ugh, how she hated anything holy.
I need to hold on... just a little longer.
The white ward seemed to have an offensive mechanism to it when tampered with. Kikuya struggled to push herself off the ground, looking up to see the tree in the distance consumed by her curse. Though she wished she could curse the entire park, this was going to have to do. She quickly packed up her belongings, including the dog's leash. There was no need to leave any evidence lying around. The tree, though, could stay that way. She wanted Amelia to know who did it. She wanted her to be furious with the sight, even if it would probably last for a day.
Kikuya slowly stood on her feet, walking away from the park and in the direction of her home. Why did it feel so far away? The model could barely see straight as she shuffled her feet. She was only halfway back to Cherrblossom Place when she bent over and vomited on the side walk, clutching her stomach while gasping for air. There was a moment where she wanted to call someone for a ride back. Adelle. Cecilia. Anyone. She couldn't walk that much further. After another minute of walking, Kikuya rolled her eyes into the back of her head, passing out onto the grass by the sidewalk.
