Who: Alex and Justin Where: Justin's House When: Afternoon
Alex pulled up to Justin's house in her tiny little car. She'd finally gotten the wiper situation and everything sorted out, even. Elle was in the back seat, her tail wagging as she looked out the window. Beside Alex on the seat was a homemade gift basket, complete with a small dry erase board and multicolored markers to go with it, as well as more traditional gifts like cookies, tea, candy, and the like. She wasn't really sure what Justin would like, so she'd kind of gone overboard and gotten a little bit of everything. There was even a little potted "lucky bamboo" and a get-well-soon card. After lifting it into her arms (it was nearly as big as she was, she thought,) Alex moved to the back and opened the door for Elle, who ran up to Justin's front door immediately, barking happily and jumping all over the porch. Alex followed after closing the car doors, knowing that Elle's excited clamoring would probably get Justin's attention before she could even knock on the door.
As soon as Elle was heard, so were the three dogs inside. Happy barking kept up until Justin opened the door, indeed just before Alex herself got there. He started slightly, but stood back quickly, shooing the dogs out of her way and gesturing in offer to help her, though he had no earthly idea what she was carrying, or why. On the whole, however, he looked better, a bit less stress in his face and the bandages shortened on both hands. He was wearing his Spiderman t shirt and jeans, barefoot but ready to hurry outside and help her if the basket looked too much for her to handle.
Alex beamed up at him, her eyes barely peeking over the top of the basket. "Hi! I have something for you!" She bounced into the house as Elle took off, harassing the other dogs ecstatically. Next to the door she slipped out of her shoes, then set the basket on the nearest surface, then turning to hug him tightly. "You look like you're feeling better," She said brightly, staying there for a moment. Then she regretfully pulled back out of his arms again to gesture at the basket, blushing slightly. "I hope you like it. I wanted to make you a little... I don't know, some kind of feel-better thing I guess." She laughed, feeling slightly embarrassed now that she was actually giving it to him. The dry erase board and markers inside were even already unwrapped so that he could use them right off, if he wanted to.
He hugged her back eagerly and nodded, smiling slightly when she said he looked better and nodding to agree with it. When she said the basket was for him, however, his eyes went wide and he looked over, taking it in. It was... amazing, and thoughtful. Two things he'd never gotten anything of before. He double checked with her, then went over, reaching out and carefully touching the basket edge before grabbing the dry erase boar and nearest marker. But there's so much. Really, you didn't have to go through the trouble or expense!. Coming from a wealthy family, money had never been a problem for Justin, but he knew that it wasn't so easy for other people and was very aware of how much it meant to receive such a large and thoughtful present.
Alex went out of her way to make her shrug very casual. "It's not really a big deal," she said, smiling. She was just excited to be able to do something for him. If it was a little much... well, she wasn't very good at self-moderation. It was a fault, but at least one she admitted to freely. "Anyway, I wanted to, so that should count for something. I like doing things for you." She moved to stand a little closer to him, simply because she liked being close. "Have you been able to find anyone who might be able to help you? The dry erase is really just a temporary solution." She smiled softly up at him, reaching out to touch his arm.
He gaped some more at the basket, even if he'd been able to talk he'd be at a complete loss for words at the moment. He looked down at the board, then hugged it to him slightly, looking at her in wonder before leaning in to kiss her quite thoroughly. He couldn't accurately describe how thankful he was any other way. Once the kiss was over he wrote quickly. Tayne's helping me look into some people. I heard there's a master of Gray Magic in town... if anybody can fix me, he can.
She looked very pleasantly surprised when he kissed her like that, and even had to bite back a little bit of a giggle when it was over. She glanced over what he wrote on the board, nodding and trying not to show how much the kiss had distracted her. "That's really good," she said hopefully. "I'm sure you'll be all fixed up and talking again in no time. I do miss hearing your voice, and if it lasts too much longer you might get tired of mine," she teased, winking up at him. "Do you think it would be okay if maybe I went with you when you go to see him? If I don't have work or anything, I mean?" She nibbled nervously on her lip, wanting to be there for him.
He looked at her again. Somebody... to go with him to the healer? He hadn't experienced that before either, though it warmed him when he saw loved ones with patients, supporting eachother through the darkest times. A man who had a family aiding him almost always recovered faster than somebody who was alone. He wrote down quickly I would love to have you come with me if you can before pausing. And I can't wait to tell you how wonderful and beautiful you are, even though I could never get tired of your voice. Once more in the name of sincerity he leaned in, this time placing a gentle kiss on the soft patch of skin under her earlobe.
Alex's eyes closed for a moment and she grinned a little bit at the sensation of the little kiss. "Send me a text when you know, then," She said with a smile, leaning against him a bit, "and I'll make sure I've got the day off. It shouldn't be too hard to arrange, hopefully." She was glad that her gift and the offer were going over so well. "So, um. Hm. What are you up to, anyway? Sorry I kind of barged in without at least sending you a text message first, I didn't even think to find out if you were already doing something."
He grinned and shook his head, stroking her hair as he gestured weakly over to the drawing table, where he was working on a brand new comic. A large, muscular man with yellow eyes and claws was on the page, half colored in as he shredded through a generic 'bad guy' Hanging to dry near the window was a drawing of Justin and Alex, arms around each other as they kissed in the rain. It was a fanciful piece and based off a couple similar drawings from his super hero comics, but it pleased Justin, who felt he'd done both of them justice and finally masters the art of rain drawings. When he realized it was out for anybody to see he went bright red and hurried over, attempting to take it down and push it into the drawer before Alex saw it.
Alex tilted her head curiously, following him towards the drawing table. The first picture she saw was very interesting, and she stared at it trying to take in every detail of the drawing. When she did look up, he was already trying to hide the other piece. She caught a glimpse of the picture and put her hand out. She didn't want to snatch it from him, but she did want a better look. "May I see it? Please?" She bit her lip, her other hand resting gently on his arm.
He turned and held it to his chest and turned to look at her guiltily, then blushed a bit harder before meekly offering it over, nothing in his mind to say. It wasn't a pornographic piece, anyway. He didn't draw those. He held it out and waited, eyes going to the floor, but glancing up occassionaly to gage her reaction.
Alex held it very carefully when he handed it to her, her fingers hovering over the page as she took it in. It was so beautiful. Nobody had ever drawn her before, at least not since preschool. It was very touching, not to mention the fact that she really liked seeing a picture of the two of them like that. Alex smiled softly to herself before carefully handing it back to him. "It's... beautiful. I never really wished that I could make it rain before." She laughed, tucking her hair back behind her ears and stepping a little closer to him.
He paused, liking what he saw, then took it and turned, going to a supply closet and opening it, looking through it before finding a simple black frame. He slid the inked work into the frame and then took a sharpie and turned it over, writing a quick note that he didn't want erased on the back of the frame. You're so much more beautiful than any artist could convey, I tried my best, but if you don't mind I'd still see the genuine article as much as possible. Finished he signed his name, then walked over and offered it to her again, hoping that he wasn't wrong in thinking the smile was wide enough that it meant she liked it enough want to keep it.
Her eyes widened when he came over to hand it to her. "You want to give it to me? Really?" She definitely wanted it, but she felt almost guilty for taking it away. She turned the frame over and read the note on the back, her smile widening. "Justin... You're amazing. And I will do my best to let you see as much of me as possible." She hugged the frame to her chest for a second before blushing slightly, realizing the double meaning behind what she said and giggling slightly. Oops... well, she wasn't going to take it back, and he could read into that what he wanted. "Thank you so much. I'll hang it... hm... In my living room maybe. Over the couch." She beamed up at him.
On display? He beamed and then touched her cheek. He missed the double meaning, but not the blush, and stroked her cheek with his thumb to convey his happiness that he could do something nice for her. He pulled the expo board from under his arm. I want you to do whatever you like with it he wrote, then looked at the basket. Are you hungry, or thirsty? I recently came into some get-well-soon goods that look like they'll really hit the spot well.
She laughed happily and nodded. "Some tea would be great, and I have it on good authority that the cookies are decent." She winked up at him, stepping forward and slipping under his arm while putting her own around his waist. "I wasn't really sure what kind you like, so there's chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin." She grinned up at him. "They're all my grandmother's recipes, and I swear I can't really do them justice like she does. When I go home, I can smell them baking a mile away." She laughed again, bouncing up onto her toes to kiss his cheek.
He beamed and went to the basket, checking with her for what kind of tea she wanted and then grinning, taking it to the kitchen along with a couple packages of cookies, putting them out on a plate while he started to boil the tea. The whole basket is amazing, and they look delicious. I still can't believe you made it... it's absolutely brilliant.
She blushed, leaning against the counter while she watched him work. "Thanks. It was nothing really, I just wanted to do something nice. I'm just glad you like it." She beamed at him, looking around the kitchen and hugging her arms to herself. "Have I mentioned that I'm totally jealous of your kitchen by the way?" She said with a laugh. "You saw how tiny mine is. Next time I need to make something I'll just have to come over here and hijack it." She grinned mischievously.
He looked at her, then beamed and nodded quickly, writing. My aunt loved to cook. You can come here whenever you like and make things. Even if I'm not here, you're always welcome. The thought of her in his house, cooking, spending time with his pets and her own even when he wasn't around filled him with pleasure.
Alex giggled a little bit. "Might wanna be careful," She teased again. "If you aren't, you might not ever be able to get me out of here." She laughed a little even though she was only half joking. It was too early to even consider moving in with him-- right? Then why did she think about it so often? She couldn't help the faint blush that tinged her cheeks and ears pink. "Though I don't think they would mind," She added, gesturing as the dogs ran noisily through the room-- the older three mostly because Elle was chasing them, nipping at their heels if they didn't stay out of reach.
Justin turned and laughed voicelessly, then looked at her, pausing. Was she kidding? Well, maybe if she reacted badly she might put this down to his distressed mental status as a mute. You don't have to go if you don't want to. But he couldn't bring himself to offer it, so he put it on his counter, pushing it with a finger towards her, then turning quickly to get the tea ready.
Alex took the whiteboard, reading his words quickly and biting her lip. She definitely didn't want to leave... But she didn't want to take advantage of him either. She shifted from foot to foot as she thought over all of the different possibilities and everything that could come up if she moved in. Finally, she pulled the whiteboard and a marker over herself, not trusting her own voice to answer at the moment. Instead, she wrote, If you'd like me here, I'd love to stay. I could keep my things at my apartment for a while, just in case... I don't want to take advantage of you and ruin your opinion of me. She blushed as she pushed it back towards him, looking down at the floor and shuffling her feet.
He glanced over at the board, then away, then looked and ready it again before looking up at her, fearful pleasure on his face. He was also nervous about what she'd think about him if she was here, but how could he pass this up? He beamed and went over, leaning in to kiss her again before wriitng quickly under her script. And don't worry. You can keep paying your rent to them. I own this house so I don't pay rent here either.
Alex blushed, leaning up against him and resting her head against his chest after reading his message. "I..." She swallowed, laughing a little at herself because her mouth had gone completely dry with nerves. "I'd like it. To stay here, I mean... with you." She smiled a little, trying to look more sure of herself. It was strange, since that wasn't usually a problem she had. "If you really, y'know, want me here then I don't really see any reason to turn you down. I definitely would love the chance to spend more time with you." She grinned.
He beamed and put his arms around her, stroking her hair and nodding, wishing he could voice how much the thought of having her here with him spiked his nerves and excitement. He laughed again, then rocked her gently before tilting her chin up so that he could kiss her again. The idea of having her so close, of seeing her when he got up in the mornings and up until they went to bed... it made him shiver with anticipation.
She smiled into the kiss, returning it and slipping a hand up the back of his neck to tangle slightly in his hair. She grinned and held him close, not letting him get away from her for the moment. She just wanted to keep hugging and holding him, almost selfishly. It was just too nice, feeling someone care about you so much. After a few moments, she let him a little bit loose and grinned sheepishly. "I guess I'm being a little silly. We should probably wait until you get your voice back maybe? Mainly because there will be a lot of planning to do, and I've gotta figure out what I'd need here and stuff. It'll take me a few days...." That was generous. She was so disorganized, she wasn't really sure how long it would take to plan and then find what she needed.
He grinned, not minding the closeness at all, and ah the hand in his hair felt good.... but when she spoke he listened dutifully, then nodded and reached over with one hand to write. Whatever you need. Let me know if I can help in any way. You're welcome any time.
Alex nodded, cuddling closer to him, the tea and cookies all but forgotten in the excitement of everything else. "Where would I stay?" She asked curiously. "I should probably figure out if I need to bring... um, any furniture or anything." She'd almost said 'a bed,' but realized it might sound like she was trying to jump into his if she was thinking about not bringing one. Really she just didn't know if whatever other rooms there were were already furnished or not. "I know Elle will love having more room to run around in, definitely, though she might prefer cuddling up to the boys at night instead of sleeping with me now." She laughed a little.
They may want to flock around you, he wrote and grinned, then took her hand and smiled at her, taking her up the stairs after him. The top landing split off, there was one large bathroom in the center and then to the left was his room, the bigger of the two. To the right there was the only slightly smaller guest bedroom, which at current was made up in comfortable white pillows and blankets, cherry colored furniture that had once been his aunt's making it a comfortable premade area. He wrote down quickly. You can keep or move anything in or out you like. And who knew? He dared to hope that one day, maybe, she would move into his room.
Alex looked around the room with wide eyes, smiling. "It's so pretty," She said with a light chuckle. "My room at the apartment is just crowded and doesn't have nearly as nice furniture." She walked over to the bed, running a hand over the blankets with a smile, still excited that this was happening. The whole idea was amazing, that someone actually cared enough for her to want her around all the time. She grinned, looking back over her shoulder at him. She wanted to say something, but the simple "Thank you" that came out just seemed so inadequate.
Justin simply grinned, coming over and then putting his hand on the pole of the four poster bed, watching her and relishing the look of happiness on her face. He'd never been able to make somebody this happy before. He paused, then wrote on his expo board quickly. It's got it's own climate control, and AC, and we could get cable in here for a telly, if you like. That won't be hard at all. He'd have to clean up the bathroom bit to make room for her things, but other than that there was lots of space for her things here, and he thought she might like it.
Alex bounced slightly on her toes, unable to contain her excitement. She suddenly bounced over to him and jumped up into his arms, hugging him tightly. "Oh my god. This is great. I love it! I'm so happy that this is happening!" She leaned in and kissed him hard on the lips, blushing slightly but too happy to hide it. Then her energy waned slightly and she realized that she was up in his arms. That made her blush a little bit more, leaning back just far enough that she could see his face clearly. "Oops. Hi. Sorry..." She giggled a bit.
He started slightly as he held onto her, his gasp unvoiced but his grip firm. There was no way he was going to drop her, even if the kiss made him feel a bit weak in the knees. He smiled when she giggled, then leaned in and ran his tongue over her lower lip before kissing her jaw, doing his best to assure her that all was well and that him having her in his arms... well, it wasn't nearly the chore she seemed to fear it being. Shifting his grip he spun a little, still holding her, then set her on the bed and leaned down to kiss her again, fingertips on her chin as he did so.
She tightened her grip slightly when he spun, but grinned widely. His kisses were beginning to make her feel a little lightheaded, though, and she couldn't help the tiny moan that escaped when he licked her lip. "That felt... really good," she said softly as he sat her down. Then he was kissing her again and the words seemed to fade from her mind... It was difficult to think of anything really. She reached up to tug on his arm as he leaned over her, trying to pull him down with her onto the bed.
Justin always strove to be a gentleman. Maybe it was a little sexist, but he thought women should be treated with respect and conservative manners. So when she pulled at him to join her on the bed the thought that they shouldn't even be in a bedroom together crossed his mind. But she tasted so good, and the moan drove him crazy. He sat on the bed by her, leaning down to keep their lips together. It was so good to be close like this with another human being, especially Alex. He continued to kiss her, and would be moaning softly himself if he had the voice to do it.
She leaned into him, moving her kisses along his jawline and finally almost hesitantly to his neck, nuzzling there slightly. She reached down to take one of his hands in hers, twining their fingers together. She hadn't really ever noticed that she had missed company like this in the years since she'd dated anyone, but now... She was definitely seeing the advantages. She felt extremely happy, content, and lucky to be here, and it showed in the huge smile that she couldn't seem to move from her face. "Could I go ahead and... um... maybe stay here tonight?" She bit her lip.
He tilted his head, then nodded eagerly, face still a little flushed from the kissing. Especially since she'd paid attention to his neck, which was always an incredibly sensitive area for him. He wrote quickly. Of course. If you want I could drive you over to your apartment to get your overnight things... though I have some shirts and stuff you could wear if you're worn out from being so brilliant all the time.
She giggled at the compliment. "I'm not worn out from being brilliant," she said, poking his side playfully. "But I don't really want to leave either... At least not right now. So I might take you up on your offer anyway." She smiled, reaching up to trace a finger along his jaw slightly, curling up on the bed and inching a little bit closer. She hummed slightly, enjoying the look on his face when she leaned forward to kiss his neck one more time. "I'm doing what I can to learn more about you. This part is fun though." She grinned playfully.
His breath was audible as he let out a deep sigh, eyes slipping closed as she kissed his neck and sent shivers down his spine. One hand held her waist as the other went through her hair. He would later be ashamed to admit that his mind went completely and utterly blank when she kissed him there, and without really realizing it he lost his balance and tipped onto his back, landing against the mattress and taking her with him.
Alex grinned and leaned over him as he fell on his back, kissing him a few more times before simply curling up, resting with her cheek against his chest. She sighed softly, contentedly, and just let her fingers play over his arm and chest as she rested. "Mm... This is really nice," She said softly, nuzzling his chest a little bit. "I'm not even tired and I could fall asleep here." She chuckled a little bit, still looking up at him from where she rested.
His chest was rising and falling quite a bit at first, heart pounding as he blinked and formed a "whoa" on his lips before looking over and then grinning, putting his arms around her as she lay, then nodding at her words when she looked up at him. god she was beautiful. He smiled softly, touching her cheek, jaw, and neck with his fingertips, tracing slow and lazy lines just because the feel of her was so fascinating.
Alex shivered as he traced lines on her skin, her eyes drifting halfway shut. "That tickles," she said with a smile. "But don't stop... I like it." She reached up and tangled a hand in his hair again, smiling lazily. "I feel like we should be doing something... I don't know. Cooking dinner or um, anything... but I think I'd prefer just to lay here with you." She giggled and snuggled closer to him. "It's nice, really, to feel like this." She giggled and tickled his side with the other hand.
He gasped loudly and squirmed, then rolled over. He couldn't respond to her verbally to agree anymore, but he could slider her off him and gently pin her to the bed to tickle her in response.
Alex squealed, squirming on the bed and laughing until tears streamed from her eyes. Her red curls spilled across the blanket, quickly becoming tangled as she tried to wiggle away from the tickling. Even though it was difficult to move, she was careful not to flail too much-- she didn't want to accidentally kick him or anything, after all. She also continued to tickle him... as much as she could, anyway, as she was tickling with one hand and trying to protect herself with the other.
He was laughing hard himself, but of course there was no sound, so he simply tickled her until he could take no more and finally collapsed back to the bed himself, sides aching as he laughed and simply tried to bat her hands away if they followed him. He rested, struggling to catch his breath, then looked over at her and quickly memorized the image of her with her hair splayed on the bed, if only for a later sketch.
Alex giggled for a few more minutes, curling up on her side to face him as they both rested. After she'd caught her breath, she reached out towards him. Being careful not to tickle, she slowly traced the bridge of his nose, his cheek, even his ear... almost like she was trying to memorize them through touch. "You're really handsome," she said with a smile, hoping it didn't sound awkward to say it. "I think I could just lay like this, watching you, forever."
He chuckled again and shook his head slightly, looking up at the ceiling, but not too long before looking back at her and writing "Ditto" carelessly on the board. This being unable to vocalize his endearments was beginning to be a real problem. Instead he reached and took her hand, bringing it up to his lips to kiss it gently, eyes not leaving her face again.
Alex smiled, moving a little closer to him and resting her head on his shoulder again. The kiss on her hand made her smile, watching as his eyes stayed on her. She watched him as well, her eyes resting happily on his face. "Hm. Maybe we could just order some food if we get hungry. I'm certainly in no hurry to leave this room though." She let her eyes fall closed as she got comfortable.
He nodded and pointed to the phone that was in the room, then paused as the dogs entered. His three weren't used to this room being open, and set about exploring before going to him, looking around and then, one at a time, doing their best to sneak up on the bed next to them. Justin blinked, then scowled slightly, trying to shoo them away because he didn't want them messing up her pretty bed. His was fine, but hers? Too important to get dog hair on.
Alex watched as the dogs tried to hop up on the bed. "Are they not allowed? I wouldn't mind, but I don't want to get your aunt's things dirty if you want to keep them off." She shrugged a little bit, smiling. "I need to figure out what the rules of the house are," She joked, winking at him. "I mean, am I allowed to have wild and crazy parties every night or should I hold off on that?" She giggled, sitting up and grinning down at him. "You'd be invited of course," she continued to tease slightly.
He said up, then leaned down and kissed her. No rules. And Aunty's long gone, you can do with her things as you like. I just didn't want them up here without your permission, he smiled, then put an arm around her as he put the board on her lap to write. I'd only come if you were there. You can do whatever you like, though, as long as nobody steals the original twelth issure of Iron Man vs. Green Goblin.
Alex smiled when he put an arm around her, settling back against him. "Okay. Can I read it though?" She grinned some more, reaching her hand behind her head to run through his hair gently. "I promise not to mess it up. Or a later copy or something, because that's gotta be super rare and... stuff..." She laughed, knowing that she didn't really know that much about comic books and how much they were worth. She was very willing to learn, though.
He smiled and kissed her cheek. Sweet little thing, knowing nothing about comics. Still, though, he'd be glad to go through his whole collection with her, delighted at the possibility of her taking an interest in them. He nodded. But I'll have to give you some background so you know why and how it's as awesome as it is he wrote out, grinning like a true nerd, even though he really was mostly kidding.
She grinned right back at him, turning her head just enough to place a tiny peck of a kiss on the base of his neck. This time she had a hint of a mischievous look to her eyes, having figured out that that seemed to be a particularly sensitive area for him. She smiled and ruffled his hair after that. "I will be your avid student," She said, only half kidding.
His eyes drooped at once, and a stupid grin took his face even as he wrote out Just be mineand then shook his head slightly, trying to snap himself out of it. He couldn't afford to loose his head in a bedroom with her, he cared about her way too much for that.
Alex smiled after she read what he had written. Turning where she sat so that she could look straight at him (and coincidentally be practically sitting in his lap), she kissed him softly on the lips. It wasn't a very long kiss, just a short peck really, but afterwards she leaned her forehead against his slightly. "I already am," She whispered, closing her eyes with a smile and putting her arms around him in a hug.
He smiled back, eyes drifting closed as his hands went around her waist and held her close, then decided to be brave and slid his arms under her bottom, pulling her up and into his lap carefully before pulling his hands back up to her waist again, not wanting to be inappropriate. Well, more inappropriate. But really he just wanted to hold her close, to smell her and feel her warmth. She really was intoxicating for him to be around.
