And he wasn't going to push her away now. It was nice not to be alone. And to touch people without fear. Cara knew what could happen, and had promised she'd do anything it took to get away from him if he freaked out on her. That went a long way towards making him comfortable around her.
"I know," he said with another heavy sigh. "I will. I'm just worried about her. Cara, she doesn't go out, it's like her life ended the day mine and Robbie's did. I don't want that. He wouldn't either."
