"Then take some responsibility," Cara replied, her voice stern and meant to be encouraging. Her hands remained on his cheeks, cupping his jaw gently while her thumbs stroked his cheekbones soothingly. "I know you've changed, Colin. But she's still your sister. You owe it to her to try." She wasn't suggesting he play make-believe and pretend with pink ponies and butterflies. But she was suggesting he try to make it work, try to share with her who he was now and try to be a part of her life...for real, not just watching from the outside.
