Looking back over her shoulder as she heard a cough, Skye made a face as if to ask if Jaye was okay before turning back around to look at the unexplored goodness in front of her. The clicking of a button made her turn again, however, and somehow the sight of Jaye holding a flashlight made her snort with laughter. Although she was known for being generally unfazed, the uttering of Lane's words - famous last words by many, she was pretty sure - had Skye hissing. Immediately after, the floorboards creaked from under her, and she grimaced up at Lane. "You had to go and say that. Now we're all gonna die." She joked.
Skye tilted her head, smiling at Lane's logic. It seemed quite solid a point, if the little colorful sparks emanating from her fingertips were any proof. Then again these were glamours and did not, in fact, illuminate much. But they were rainbow colored and pretty and Skye grinned happily at the twins before the sparks went out.
Meanwhile, the foyer had been explored and it was now up to them to decide whether to venture into one of the doors on the ground floor, or go up the stairs. Slowly, Skye took one step after another on her way into the living room. It was huge, much bigger than her own or really any living room she had ever been in, with a fireplace and what looked like a reading nook by the window. Mostly, it was covered in dust, spiderwebs and old broken furniture. When she took a few more steps to go properly into the room a rustle of wind stirred at her face, hair flowing behind her as if someone had just run past. She held her breath, eyes widening, and looked at the twins. "Did you feel that?"
