Jaye didn't know why he was here. It wasn't the first time Lane had dragged him out of the house to do something, and he couldn't deny the fact that he needed something to occupy his time other than studying, either for school or his magic. Those few days when the town-wide spell had been in effect, when he'd forgotten all about Crystal Falls and Andrew and what they'd been through, still bothered him. Jaye didn't like being forced to forget something that was so much a part of him now, and once the memories came back, they were there in full force. He couldn't run from them anymore, not that he'd tried all that hard in the first place. Jaye would never face his emotions head on and he wasn't doing so now.
He was all for finding a distraction, but somehow, going to explore a "haunted" house wasn't it. Yes, he believed ghosts were real, and so were demons and vampires and all of that too, but that didn't mean he was necessarily interested in meeting one. Sighing, he looked over the house again, running a hand over his hair and pushing a few loose strands out of his eyes. "This is a bad idea," he reminded Skye, knowing he was outnumbered in this situation. "And yes, I have my phone." He held it up to show her. "With 911 on speed dial, just in case."
Which wasn't exactly true. God forbid something happened and one of them got hurt, he'd call Anitra before he called the cops. If his sister couldn't heal them up, then yeah, he'd call in the big guns... which would be his mother. Regardless, Jaye was already figuring out how to get them back out of the house, sooner rather than later. This wasn't his idea of a good time.
