Asking her not to cry had the same affect as asking the wind to stop blowing or the sun to stop coming up in the morning. They didn't listen and neither did she. The tears flowed more freely even after he stepped closer to her.
He was different. He wasn't like she remembered. Wasn't the same, but he was Colin. Her brother. The brother she'd spent the last year thinking she'd caught glimpses of. The brother she'd though was haunting her not actually there and now he was standing in front of her.
"Why'd you leave?" she asked him, her green eyes dimming behind the flood of tears that streamed down her crimson tinted face.
