The implication that Desi might visit again did not sound at all strange to her; she had few female friends who weren't also family, and Crystal was pretty great so far. "I'll have some by the door when you come over to my place instead, too." She offered, smiling. Well, it was only logical that it might happen eventually. Desi wasn't sure why, when Crystal had such a nice house and Desi had a glorified bedroom, but still.
The physical gesture of sympathy was felt deep down in the tangle of what were Desi's emotions at the moment. It felt really nice, really warm, and exactly what she needed. "I know, but...It's messed up anyway." She explained, shaking her head as she took her seat. Desi nodded in thanks at what Crystal said about her sister, leaning in with interest as her new friend explained her own time of it. By the end of it Desi's nose was scrunched up, her top lip drawn almost to a sneer. "What the hell kind of magic is this? My father must be crying devil to anyone who'll hear him and at this point I can't very well disagree." But she was going to anyway, out of principle.
Desi couldn't help bringing a hand to her chest in an exaggerated flattery as she was referred to as a positive note on an otherwise weird as all hell week. "Awww!" She grinned. "Back at you!"
The pasta and the wine were pretty amazing. Desi nodded effusively. "So good. So, so good."
