hope you like vegan Who: Crystal and Desi (NPC'd familiars) Where: Crystal's home When: 8:00 p.m.
'I can't believe you're cooking a full meal on a workday.'
"I've done it before!" Crystal defended herself against the bluebird as she checked the oven for what had to be the tenth time. She wouldn't admit it to anyone who asked, but she'd made an unusual run out to the store to pick up a few things so that she could make something nice for dinner. Though to tell the truth she had been craving pasta and this was an excellent excuse to try out that new garlic penne with roasted tomatoes recipe she'd gotten from Elise. That she also had a tart baking in the oven was just... maybe Pretty was right and she'd gone a little overboard, but Desi didn't have to know that. "Don't you dare tell her." The tart still needed a bit of time before it was ready, but it shouldn't be too long and the pasta was ready.
'My beak is sealed!' Pretty fluttered over to land on Crystal's shoulder as she started setting the table. 'Hey, what are you feeding the fox? You don't have any meat.'
"Well. Either she can eat some of the pasta or she can go root around in the garden and see if there are any bugs to her liking."
'What if she eats someone?'
Crystal sighed, setting the plates on the table. "She's a familiar, Pretty. She's not going to eat one of my pets if I ask her not to."
'You know what I think?'
"What do you think?"
'I think-' Luckily, Crystal was saved from hearing the thoughts of her familiar by the sound of the bell by the door going off. A smile broke across her face. "They're here!" Some women, or even men, would've stopped to check their reflection in the mirror on their way to the door, but not Crystal. She was pretty sure the red plaid shirt she'd put on was free of stains, there wasn't anything living in her hair... she was good! So she opened the door without a thought spared towards how she looked and turned her smile onto the redhead on the other side. "Hi Desi!" Nearby one of her cats hissed at the sight of the fox. Crystal, on the other hand, crouched down and held her hand out towards her. "And you must be Hatee. Very pleased to meet you and please come in."
