Unlike the little pinpricks and tugs she had been feeling the past few days, Rina knew exactly what was happening when this other woman started to freak out. Because she could feel it herself, echoing around. Just like Darklis's feelings had been doing. There was a word for that... empath, yes, she was an empath. And whoever this woman was, something was happening that she was definitely not used to, and in turn it was making Rina a little nervous. That her cat had decided to go over and greet her was not really helping. "Get back here... Trouble?" Wait, what had she just heard? Had she really just heard that?
Rina stopped, blinking slowly as she tried to make the connection that made it possible for her to even begin to believe that that was possible. "Uh-huh." Only actually, Trouble made a lot of sense. It rang a bell way back in a corner of her mind that said it was right. This was not Fluffy, this was Trouble, and she was most definitely her cat and not her cousin's.
'This is so much better, oh you have no idea.' Trouble was now prancing around the woman who could hear her, utterly delighted and with no real clue that she was causing some sort of problem. 'These past few days have been crazy and now you can hear me! Oh, oh, oh, maybe that means it's going away and Rina will be able to hear me again soon! That would be great! I miss talking to Rina.' The small cat sat down again, vigorously grooming her paw where a bit of dirt had gotten stuck. 'Hey Rina! Oh... right... uhhhh... I'm Trouble and she's Rina, who are you?' Trouble even remembered her manners and stuck her paw out like she always saw Rina do. If she was going to be doing the talking then she was going to be polite.
"I'm sorry." Rina had finally found her tongue again. "But did you just... s-say that you can hear my cat?"
