we don't get along, do we?
Who: Cameron and Liliya
Where: Liliya's office
When: Noon
Cameron was slightly confused.
He was confused because he had a meeting with one Liliya Kennedy and, though the name seemed to be quite familiar, he couldn't remember what the meeting was supposed to be about. He hadn't ever been the sort of man to take detailed notes when he made an appointment because he was the sort of man who remembered what he was supposed to be talking about. So to be walking into a meeting with his briefcase and no clue of what he was doing? Suffice it to say that Cameron Calvert was at a loss. He was fingering his wedding band -- it felt very new and didn't even have a single scratch on it, so he couldn't have been married to Amanda for very long -- as he walked up to the desk and smiled. At least he knew how to smile without showing his confusion.
"I'm here to see Ms. Kennedy," Cameron told the assistant, who had a slightly harried look about her. Someone must not have been having a very good morning. That actually made him feel a little jolt, like he was happy that Liliya wasn't having the best day. One could always tell how someone was feeling by how their assistants behaved.
Whoever she was spoke into the intercom on her desk and rose quickly, smoothing out her skirt, before moving to open the door. "Just head right in, Mr. Calvert, she's been expecting you."
Cameron changed his smile to a more sympathetic one. "Not in a very good mood today?"
The assistant bit at her lip, eyes darting in and then back to his face. "You could say that." Her voice dropped considerably. "Good luck." Then he was in, the door was shut, and he was left alone with whoever Liliya Kennedy might be. Well, whoever he'd been expecting it certainly wasn't the woman sitting behind the desk. She was gorgeous!
"Hello, Ms. Kennedy," Cameron greeted, stopping a few feet from the desk instead of just taking a seat like he belonged there. He didn't have that large of an ego. "I hope you're well today." The funny thing was? He actually meant that. The problem was that, gorgeous or not, he definitely recognized this woman and he didn't didn't think that he liked her very much.
