there's nowhere we can hide Who: Liliya and Nicci Where: Heme When: Evening
Liliya did not think that Heme was a place she went to all that often. Yes, it was vampire-oriented and she was a vampire politician who was very well known in the Central Midwest, but that did not mean she had to go out and mingle with them at night. She had blood dolls to satisfy her cravings and if they did not hit the spot then it was always just a matter of a phonecall and someone would get her what she needed. She did not need to go out and have it at a club like a twenty-something human did with alcohol. I'm certain I've never done that, either. But she had received a phonecall that afternoon from her sire, and Maureen had said that she believed Liliya needed to go out and let herself be seen having a good time with her fellow vampires. The excuse of 'I don't feel good' was not acceptable. The problem was that it was not an excuse, it was the truth. Yesterday there had been a vague feeling in the back of her head that she was missing something. Not a person so much as... a thing. A something. What it was she could not say, but today it had gotten worse. Her fingers were a little shaky and her mood was ... out of control. Liliya felt like that was very unusual. She was usually calm and collected and the picture of a perfect vampire, but now? Her lunch had been late and the only thing that had kept her from throwing the tray at her assistant's head had been that she ran back out when she saw the look on her face.
Thank god Naoki had not been home when she got there. She had been craving his blood straight from the source, but something told her that she might not have been able to stop. Unfortunately there was none of his blood in the fridge either. Her eye was twitching as she settled for her own bloodtype. While it satisfied and slaked her thirst, it did nothing for that thing in her head that was demanding something else. And what was that something else? Liliya did not know, but she had to try and ignore it, because if she did not show up at Heme then her sire was going to come and drag her there by her hair.
So, fully dressed and looking presentable, Liliya had herself dropped off at the front and ignored any stares she received. Had no one ever seen a vampire still in the progress of regrowing a leg? At least it's going to come back... Liliya gave her head a shake to get rid of another, darker thought that said she would have been better off is she was not a vampire and had just - stop it. Liliya was not enjoying this, but she still flashed a bright, fanged smile at the woman behind the counter. "Anything B-negative that will make my head shut up, thanks."
Ten minutes later - courtesy of a glass of psychic blood - Liliya was laughing with whoever was sitting next to her about... she could not quite remember, something.
