It was strange for Drina to feel like her life had finally settled into a pace of normalcy. She worked her shifts at the Golden Dragon, she continued working out at the dojo and most of her free time was spent with Marco. Her thoughts still strayed to Heath every now and again. She wondered what he was doing, what his life had become now that she was no longer in it, but the thoughts of how things could have been were beginning to ebb. They still occurred, most often when she was alone and lying in bed, but every once in a while she found they were replaced with thoughts of Marco and what sort of plans she could make with him. She didn't focus on why that was, but simply let the thoughts be. Turning any attention towards them might blur lines and stir up feelings that ought not to be disturbed.
As it was, when Marco called and asked if she would meet him by her elevator, Drina was thrown off by how random and out of the blue this was. Plans with Marco had fallen into a sort of pattern. Either they went out for dinner or he ended up coming over to her place for a meal, and more often than not, they would go out for a run. Since he had shown her how to shift of her own free will, Drina found she truly enjoyed the thrill of running through the woods on all fours. Something about the soft pads of her feet pressing into the ground while the wind whirred past her ears inspired a thrill that burned deep within her. It was primal, feral even, but it didn't frighten her in the least.
Curiosity got the better of her and Drina did as she said she would and met Marco by the elevator. The automated ding overhead preceded the doors opening and revealing the fox on the other side, an amused sort of grin playing on his features -- it was an expression she had yet to really see on him and she couldn't help but find it contagious. Her own lips curled upwards (though she did try to fight it) despite not being a fan of surprises and a single eyebrow arched upwards. "To where exactly?" She asked, her eyes full of good humor.
