Emilia sipped her coffee and returned Arwen's smile. "I hide it better than you." Or at least she did not show an obvious reaction hardly ever. But that would tie directly to their views on what they were. I've would think it would be more similar since they were sisters, but that was not the case. More often than not, Emilia was ashamed of her abilities while her sisters were happy to embrace them. She envied them that. She envied them a fair few things.
But that was neither here nor there.
Desi's reaction was expected, and actually, so was Arwen's. Emilia could not have realistically expected fire her not to ask what had led to this. Other than everything that had happened since she started dating the man to try and make their father happy with her. "I was really hoping I didn't have to do this again," Emilia sighed, fingers unconsciously going to touch her neck. "Doran and I had a disagreement about my medication... it ended violently. Thankfully the table didn't leave any lasting damage to his head and his hands didn't ruin my throat." The table was starting to shake the cups. There's one more thing. "Nysa's girlfriend is thinking of moving in with her." That was important, too. Emilia looked down at her hands. "I can't do it anymore."
